    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time, I was given a wide range of tasks which offered variety on a daily basis. The team at Zeus are all very friendly and welcoming, and are always more then willing to help.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt valued throughout. I had an appraisal at the end of my placement in which they stated how valuable I had been to the organisation and in the work I had completed.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Every task I was given was thoroughly explained to me and if I needed further advice or guidance they would always do so. If I was struggling or needed help they would always take the time to help me, giving me advice on how to improve.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was presented with tasks daily, once I had finished one I was given another, there was obviously deadlines for work, but I didn't feel pressurised or rushed.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Once given a task, I then completed it one my own, whether contacting various publications and writing blogs, once completed my work was then reviewed and i received feedback instantly to make sure it was to the correct standard.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This placement helped me to improve my communication mainly, both written and verbal. As well my email etiquette has improved the most due to my main method of communication being via email. Many other skills such as organisation and time management have also been improved.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Really friendly and welcoming, always offering help when needed.

  • I was always provided with plenty of work to complete, with staff having these tasks prepared for me.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was shown how to many of the jobs I completed and I was always given advice and feedback on how to improve my work.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • If an opportunity were to arise I would be interested, and due to the outstanding appraisal I received I believe they would be open to having me.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Due to being located in Congleton, I was a fair ways from my university, but due to living here, I still had a social scene with my friends.
