    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the RBS Human resources Insight Week. It was an incredible insight into how the division works and how its different department operate. It also gave us an overview of how the organisation provides services to its customers and employees in general. We shadowed managers from different departments and got an opportunity to attend the Virtual HR leaders event.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • RBS is an organisation which intensely practices diversity and inclusion through focus on employee well being, gender equality programmes and employee led networks. Every employee’s opinion counts towards every decision that the company undertakes which is made sure by all the senior managers who are dedicated towards inclusion. Our team felt this in the spring week as well that the company emphasised on our feedback along with performance.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Our whole team received ample amount of guidance throughout the week which was provided by early recruitment managers, different grad scheme holders and personnel from other departments as well. Everyone was well informed about all the sessions and activities and there was no gap in communication.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed a lot of skills and values by shadowing different employees and by witnessing the work culture at RBS. Some of these are inclusiveness, resilience, and time management. I believe that these skills and values will hep me a lot in my degree and university life.
