About You
The insight (1 week internship) was thoroughly enjoyable and gave a provided a good overview of the firm as a whole, for example, the day to day workings of the firm. I had a very positive experience and was very impressed with PwC with hope that I could get a job there after finishing my degree.
Everyone who I had contact with were very welcoming and ensured I felt comfortable every day in the working environment. I felt I was given many opportunities in a very short period of time and was able to talk to those of all levels/stages in their career with ease.
During my week at PWC, the support and guidance offered to me was superb. I was able to ask as many questions as required and quickly offered with a suitable and understandable solution, given that it was work I was unfamiliar with. The associates and managers that I worked with really helped me to carry out my best work.
I believe I developed valuable skills that will help me and stay with me in finishing my degree and beyond. Most importantly, the insight has highlighted the importance of communication skills and I feel I have significantly improved in this area. Furthermore, given the work I undertook, my analytical skills have greatly improved and has been most useful thus far in my final year of university.
The Company
The insight was very well structured and on each day I knew exactly who I had to report to, where I was meant to be and the work that I would be carrying out. In the case where I became unsure and a simple email to student recruitment was necessary, I was quickly attended to and was able to carry in my work with little hassle.
There was a good atmosphere during my insight in and around the office and during client visits. There was a calm atmosphere to the office and all personnel got on with their work. However, already stated above, everyone was more than willing to give support and answers any questions I had.
The firm spent a significant amount of time during my insight to provide coaching and support.
It assisted a lot in my understanding of a role in the company and I was able to accept a job offer from my experience.
It helped me understand putting myself in other people’s shoes and the importance of quality in all of my work.
It was very useful and built upon my existing understanding.
Everything Else
I was happy with the remuneration.
I got an opportunity to meet a large range of people in both a work and social setting.
I don’t think I was there long enough to be able to take advantage of the opportunities available.
I met with the chair of the social committee during my time at PwC and she explained to me many of the events undertaken within the firm.
Yes, I had a very positive experience.
