The Role
At the begginning of my placement I didn’t have much to do as I was not put on a proper project untill October, after October I thoroughly enjoyed working on an aml and had lots of opportunities to take part in extra roles and responsibilities
I felt very valued by colleagues as I was giving as much opportunity as normal business analysts
I was given good support from my team lead however not much 121 contact with my line manager
When deadlines were approaching we were very busy but steady every other day
I had an extra roll within my team so I had more responsibility then a lot of other members in my team but I enjoyed it
I now have a better insight in how big the industry is and how it all works, I’ve developed new and existing skills
The Company
Once a month we had awards and within or team we had team bonding and group training sessions, so you felt apart of the team. The office was a good atmosphere to work in as if you needed help there was always people there
It was organised as placement student had a lot of support however there was supposed to be placement student socials every few months but it only happened once
You had the opportunity to gain and extra qualification however being in such a big firm it was hard to get special personal training other than your own project training
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I have accepted my graduate job but do not intend to stay permanently
The Culture
There was a good social scene between colleagues but not other placement students
Pwc would subsidize team socials and first Fridays
First Fridays were always good to go to
A few but not a lot I was interested in
