It was a fantastic way to learn about PwC culture, the auditing process and what daily-life working in the industry is actually like. I learnt a vast amount and found it extremely helpful in terms of working out what I would like to do post-university.

Every PwC staff member I came across - from Associate to Partner, Receptionist to Floor Manager - were extremely friendly, kind, willing to help with anything and made me feel very supported. It is a lovely culture where everyone helps one another, and where you can ask any questions even if you think it is very basic. Everyone is willing to help in any way that they can.

I felt very supported by my manager and the senior members of the audit team I was assigned to. It would have been more helpful to have been assigned to a Buddy who was not assigned to an audit that was abroad and then who was on holiday. But I don't think I missed out on anything as a result - at the time it would have been nice to have met them in person at the very beginning.

I was very busy throughout the enitre internship - partly because there was a lot of auditing to perform, but also because I wanted to experience as much of the process as possible - for example, asking to sit in on meetings. Due to a lack of auditing experience (I have never studied accounting before as I am a humanities and social science student), it was quite difficult at times to fully grasp what I was doing. This made it a little uncomfortable at times as I was concerned I would make a lot of mistakes. However, I learnt a lot from being put out of my comfort zone and by having the support of the team.

I was assigned specific parts of the auditing process to complete. This involved client contact (which I had support with if I needed it) and independently performing tasks. It was quite overwhelming at times but a brilliant way to learn as much as possible.

I learnt a great deal: from what an audit is and how to perform one, to social engagement with clients, how to understand a business and computer skills. Although I am sure a lot of the technical information I will have forgotten by the time I start work at PwC, I hope that it will return to me quickly. As I am not study accountancy at university, the technical information is not relevant to my course. However, I was able to use my university taught analytical skills whilst on the internship and will continue to use them throughout my final year.

Was based on client site for the entirity of the internship. The team kept changing, as PwC employees were assigned for varying lengths of time to the project. However, everyone was very friendly and there was a lovely fun and supportive atmosphere.

On the whole, it was a very well organised internship as I didn't miss out on anything. However, it would have been helpful to know which project I was being placed on and for the team to have contacted me before the internship start - I was not informed who to get in touch with nor that I would be on client site until my first day in the office which was a bit unsettling.

The first few days residential was a very insightful time. Although it was a beautiful hotel and a great way to meet other interns and network with PwC employees, the lessons were not all that helpful for the internship. I think this was due to the fact that there was just too much information to run through in such a short amount of time. This meant that I was unable to fully digest what was being taught and meant the vast majoirty of interns stopped paying attention - which must be frustrating to those who volunteered their time to teach us. Furthermore, it meant that I really did not know much more than I did before starting the internship - the majority of information I gained from when I started working with my assigned team. This is a big shame, as a lot of time, effort and money clearly has gone into the residential days.

Fantastic! I have just accepted an offer to start a graduate placement with PwC starting as soon as I complete my degree. I can't wait to get started!

As I was based on client site and working long hours, I was not able to attend any social events that other interns organised. I was also unable to find out any information about company sports teams that I would have liked to try out. However, I am sure I will be able to get more involved once I become an employee.

As is the case in London in general, it is an expensive place to live. To keep costs down, I cycled to Embankment where I would change and then travel on public transport to the client site. Again, this meant that there was little time to socialise and even if there was time, I wouldn't have much money to do so. The internship income was very helpful to pay for rent and living costs, and the travel reimbursement for additional travel was helpful.

There was no nightlife events organised that I knew of.

I was not aware of any, nor could find any. I would have liked to try some of the sports team activities, but couldn't find them.
