    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed working as PwC’s Legal Team brand ambassador. It was a fascinating experience promoting the firm, and subsequently allowed me to gain wonderful insight into the workings of a large multi disciplinary provider. Through the job, I secured both a summer internship and a permanent role with the firm.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I had a wonderful time interacting with all members of the team- from RMP to PwC. The team made me feel extremely welcome and kept in contact frequently to ensure I was not left out of the loop. They were also very receptive to feedback, and gave brilliant advice in return

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The RMP team was always on hand to provide advice and guidance whenever needed, whether through Facebook messenger or email. All the brand ambassadors were also in a Facebook group together with our supervisor, allowing us to pop any queries on the page. This would be promptly answered and reviewed by all members.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The work was extremely well structured - requiring a minimum of only 1 to 2 hours commitment weekly. This allowed me to manage my studies, work and social life perfectly. The role was also extremely flexible, allowing me to work at my own pace as and when I saw fit.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given full on responsibility from the start. I was given the opportunity to work at my university law fair along with the graduate recruitment team and a trainee solicitor, answering any questions students may have. I also worked at a PwC networking event, representing the legal team alone. Apart from that, I managed a social media page, distributed fliers and answered queries

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Through liasing with different members of the team, I developed my networking skills and my communication skills. This proved extremely useful in assesment days and interviews. Working for the firm also allowed me to gain subsequent in depth knowledge of PwC, which was extremely useful when applying for a summer internship

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • NA- as worked during term time

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely well structured. Key dates and important events were outlined to all brand ambassadors at the training day. There was also a google excel sheet set up where we could refer to such events. We had a set number of target clicks we had to exceed and this was tracked each week as accordingly
