    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was an absolutely amazing experience. The role was great and so was the team I worked with. There is a large student atmosphere too which makes the placement even better.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The best thing about Unilever I think is the people. Everyone is really kind and always there to help you whether it be your team or a different team in a completely different department. They are always there to help and provide you with advice for your role and for your future.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Once again, absolutely fantastic! You speak to your managers on a daily basis and even other senior members such as directors. They are all friendly and will help you as much as possible

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I think it was a bit of a mixture, some days I have had full days of meetings and work whereas some days I probably had only a couple of hours of work. But the opportunity is there to explore other departments which makes it good.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was actually quite shocked by the amount of responsibility I was given. It is all up for grabs, it is up to the individual to maximise the experience

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think the placement set a strong platform for me in the professional environment. I have definitely improved several skills and developed new ones

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There is a pool table, games during lunch, several society activities! Great Atmosphere!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • You are set targets and goals at the beginning of the placement and reviewed on this twice during your placement

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There are several online courses that you can complete at your own time.
