My line manager is amazing and he gave me plenty of opportunity to build my understanding and skills. His gives valuable feedback and advice on every piece of work I carried out.

I always have tasks on hand and I enjoy taking part in meetings and activities organized by the RBSNetworks.

Not much but I understand my knowledge in the field is still limited and I don't have much connections/network internally and externally, which is important in my department.

I am about to pursue a masters in finance and I feel the workplace social skills and soft skills will help my studies immensely. I also had the chance to shadow bank staffs in different areas and that helped me to gain a better idea of what I'd like to do when I graduate.

Fun, dynamic. Office promotes co-working and innovative ideas. There are different events and workshops each day which encourages your personal development. The graduate and early career team held Hackathon for graduate and interns to promote innovative thinking and creativity in office. There are always opportunities to meet new people and collaborate.

It started with a 2-day bank wide induction and 1-day department induction. Interns are well informed on how their performance will be assessed, when are the assessments and the key dates during the internship. I was informed and put into contact with my 'buddy' and line manager weeks in advance. There are spotlight sessions and social events for interns as well.

Honestly everything. I was offered personal training and development from day 1. The bank sponsors courses and give support on professional certification, personal development and Performance Excellence modules, giving us the soft skillsets to excel in our roles. The bank also offers online material on technical training. The bank also cares a lot about staff's mental wellbeing.

Benefits are amazing. Clear career path. However I'm not the biggest fan of the bank's graduate scheme and commercial banking is not my ultimate career aspiration.

The social scene is very vibrant. Weekends are always busy. Early Careers team often organise events such as ping pong social, scavenger hunt followed by pub to encourage socialising. We also formed teams to carry out fund-raising activities. Colleagues and fellow interns/graduates are all very friendly and sociable. I often go to pubs and movies with my intern friends.

Cost of living in Edinburgh is quite high but not quite high as London, which is where I study at. Cost of socialising is decent in my opinion.

Night outs are quite cheap. However, I enjoy the nightlife in London more.

There are fund-raising activity with princess trust and from the department I am in, I sometimes get opportunities to participate in external events. However, not much from what I heard from my intern cohort.
