  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I was able to gain insight from all four legal groups within Gowling WLG, as well as gaining practical experience in a team of my choice!

    • Everyone is so welcoming across all levels of this firm. I was made to feel part of the team and there was no sense of hierarchy which made me feel very comfortable.

    • I had guidance and support from partners of the firm as well as my allocated supervisor.

    • Definitely gained skills for life whilst on this placement, skills that will aid me in any working environment.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • We had scheduled talks/presentations running throughout the week to give us insight into the legal groups.

    • The atmosphere was great. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and I was never made to feel out of place!

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • The insight helped me to confirm that I would love to work at a firm like Gowling WLG. The one team approach runs prevalent throughout the firm. The vacation scheme also allowed me to understand the challenging work that the firm deals with and the hard work that goes hand in hand with this.

    • The insight massively helped me to understand the firm's culture. The firm is big on collaborative working and you can sense this no matter what team you are in. There was no sense of hierarchy and this made me fall in love with the firm!
