  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Very useful talks throughout the scheme and the team provided me with excellent levels of 'live' work.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • Bring given 'live' work made me feel very valued through the scheme. To see your supervisor using the work you completed to send to the client was very rewarding.

    • My supervisor gave me excellent levels of support throughout the scheme, providing me with training. Graduate Recruitment were always on hand to answer questions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The legal skills I developed over the scheme will be invaluable for my future life. It gave me an excellent opportunity to apply the knowledge I had from the LPC and undergrad to real case work.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured timetable with talks and activities to attend. This set aside a substantial period of time to do 'real' work with the team.

    • The culture at the firm is excellent, making you feel welcome and as a part of the team.

    • The firm has invested great lengths into my development. This will give me a greater set of skills for any future position.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • To work alongside an associate and trainee for the two weeks gave me a clear insight into the work that is done on a day-to-day basis.

    • Throughout the two weeks I was given the opportunity to establish and experience the firms culture.

    • The content has helped me to decide that I would like to complete a Training Contract at the firm if I were offered the chance.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • I was paid a significant amount for the work I undertook on the scheme.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • I had a lot of opportunities to meet members of the team and partners from the firm as a whole. This included a talk from the Chairman of the firm.

    • There were a few events over the course of the two weeks to network with trainees and other members of the firm.

    • I was given a talk from the CSR reps which gave me an idea of pro bono and charity activities that I can get involved in.

    • I would thoroughly recommend any friends looking to receive a Training Contract to apply to the firm for the Vacation Scheme.
