  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The experience was extremely valuable and various within the whole year.

  • The company culture and colleagues are very welcoming and always happy to help.

  • I was very lucky to have one head manager and two team leaders, who both contributed to the guidance throughout the year.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It has never been a single ocassion where I woul have nothing to do. I got give a lot of different tasks that I could do at the same time. However, everything is managable.

  • As much as the placement student can be given. Engineering tasks requiring a lot of responsibility at any task undertaken.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Essential Technical and Professional skills were developed extremely. I have enjoyed my tasks and training.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very warm and peaceful. It is not 100% always formal and everyone is funny joking to discharge the atmosphere.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • My year was meant to consist of the 6 month working in one team and the swap to another. But due to the experience and knowledge in particular areas I have just continued working on the same projects

  • This aspec could be improved. However, every person has to show its personal initiative to be trained.

  • It was not mentioned at the beginning of the placement that there's no opportunities for international students. This could be improved.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The relationships within our placement students group was extremely good.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cost was high for living due to the location. Socialising as normal.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Very limited. Melksham is a tiny place and there is no Nightlife around the area.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Somewhat. If there is a desire, some social clubs are always available but not widely advertised.
