  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Working on multiple projects throughout the year made my placement experience very enjoyable. Range of different tasks to learn and complete over the course of the year. Gained experience in the different oral health categories kept things very enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues very much valued the work I completed and appreciated how hard working I am. They made an effort to tell me when I had done well as well as showing me my 6 month and 1 year feedback from my placement year work.

  • Sufficient amount of support was given from my manager for me to be able to complete my tasks effectively. My manager also gave me enough independence to be able to complete the tasks using my initiative developing skills.

  • I always had tasks to complete to a deadline but I managed my time effectively so I could take small breaks to refresh throughout the year.

  • My manager gave me enough independence to be able to complete the tasks using my initiative developing skills. My manager gave me lots of responsibilities and the progression of projects depended on the work I was producing to a deadline

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills will help significantly during my degree. Time-management to complete assignments on time. Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft skills will help to write up lab results and the report.

  • Very friendly relaxed office environment. DIfferent teams sit in the same area and interact with work tasks and everyday chat.

  • Very organised preparation to set up the placement and A community of placement students set up a board to support the placement students throughout their placement year.

  • There were opportunities to undergo plenty of training opportunities throughout the year, using online training modules.

  • Many talks to advertise the amount of opportunities there are to progress throughout the country after undergoing a placement year with the company.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Lots of placement students lived in the same house hence pub trips, clubbing nights, top golf, cinema, meals for birthdays were all planned.

  • South west London hence average priced

  • Nearby clubs max 30 mins taxi away
