    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed the Mixed Business dicovery day a lot. We got plenty of information about the company and the gas and oil industry BP operates in and found out that bp is not only about oil and gas, but also about trading, joint ventures, start-ups, real estate et cetera.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • People in charge as well as other employees we spoke to were very kind and respectful. The day was quite casual what I think is really good.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • We were encouraged to ask questions at any time.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The day was not about acquiring any skills, but about getting to know the company and the industry. Still we were able to improve team working (games) and networking skills when talking to current employees (grad scheme, senior etc. ) our peers,

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • They day was well structured. Starting with breakfast, then a session, lunch and the afternoon session. Good balance between content and refreshment. However, some miscomunications in terms of the procedure of the day.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Very welcoming, creative, inspiring. Different than expected to be honest. It's a much more creative and collaborative work place than I thought in the first place. A lot of technology and collaborative working lounges.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was just an insight, so the company does not have to invest in my training or development, but probably would if we were part of the graduate scheme.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Definitely. We got to know exactly which kind of job opportunities we would have within BP. Current graduate scheme employees explained their roles and role switching during the 3 year program. We could ask any question regarding our career aspiration and find out whether they do match with BP job offerings.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • It definitely did. The company is quite collaborative, technolgical advanced, innovative and has an amazing campus (including cafeteria, food supplys, sport opportunities). We were taught about the corporative culture and found out about the high security standards as well as diversity programs. The company is much more diverse than I thought in the first place.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • 5/5

    Everything Else

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • yes, with senior employees, grad scheme employees, creative HR people, and the people in charge, of course. more would be great, but difficult to implement in one day.
