The Role
Great company and surrounded by kind and friendly work colleagues whose advice at this early stage of my career is invaluable
Extremely kind and patient, they were eager to ensure that I got the most out of my placement year
Seniors offered advice and support to assist any work I performed
Very busy on the whole - often worked long hours at PwC then had to revise for ACA exams in the evenings/weekends - found it difficult to balance work and personal life
Seniors trusted me to lead conversations with clients and more senior members of the firm, often performed task above my grade!
Extremely useful, not only have I learnt skills on the job but I've done 8/15 ACA exams already and gained strong excel skills
The Company
Very friendly and relaxed - I got on well with everyone I met at PwC over the year. All employees seemed to have similar personalities
Very friendly and want to help however they are slow at sending out offer letters and replying after the various interview processes - would recommend contacting them regularly during the application process
They invest a lot in you, I've now completed 8/15 ACA exams and am part qualified to become a chartered accountant
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
International Travel
Healthcare/Dental
PwC have many other branches for me to explore such as tax and consulting to name a few'
The Culture
All placement and others on the intake are great however at first it is quite difficult to identify who the other placement students are given the intake is so large!
Very expensive, however I did the placement in London so that is expected I guess - obviously it'll depend which office you apply to
There are opportunities but you don't really have the chance to as most weekends will be spent revising for upcoming ACA exams
