The Role
I enjoyed my internship with BP.
My team and the whole department made me feel very welcome and I had the ability to set up meetings with anyone
I had weekly one-one meetings with my line manager.
Sometimes very busy with projects and other meetings, some days not as busy
I was given responsibility updating an internal BP website, coming up with recommendations.
I developed skills through my projects, which I believe will help me after my studies. However HR does not provide any soft skills sessions.
The Company
Very nice and relaxed atmosphere.
The application to offer was organised very well. However after this point it was quite confusing from HR.
There were no group workshops put on by HR for the interns which would have been good.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Still to receive an offer. However with the oil industry prospects can be uncertain.
The Culture
I lived with 3 other interns which was great! However HR did not organise this or many social events for the interns. The graduates organised a charity boat ball which we attended which was great!
Its London.
Outside of central London so not much near to the office.
Some, it depends on the people in the organisation.
