  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed my internship with BP.

  • My team and the whole department made me feel very welcome and I had the ability to set up meetings with anyone

  • I had weekly one-one meetings with my line manager.

  • Sometimes very busy with projects and other meetings, some days not as busy

  • I was given responsibility updating an internal BP website, coming up with recommendations.

  • I developed skills through my projects, which I believe will help me after my studies. However HR does not provide any soft skills sessions.

  • Very nice and relaxed atmosphere.

  • The application to offer was organised very well. However after this point it was quite confusing from HR.

  • There were no group workshops put on by HR for the interns which would have been good.

  • Still to receive an offer. However with the oil industry prospects can be uncertain.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I lived with 3 other interns which was great! However HR did not organise this or many social events for the interns. The graduates organised a charity boat ball which we attended which was great!

  • Its London.

  • Outside of central London so not much near to the office.
