Springboard Scheme Review

It was a thoroughly enjoyable week with varied events that took place across each of the five days. This included many socials which provided an opportunity to relax and speak with the Graduate Recruitment team in an informal manner. It also meant that all of the Springboard attendees became really close by the end of the week!

I felt extremely valued from the moment I slept through the doors at the Clifford Chance offices in Canary Wharf. We were kept occupied at every moment, and this included delicious lunches on Level 30 of their building with great views!

We received a significant amount of support with regards to applying for a Training Contract, and also a lot of information on the different practice areas of Clifford Chance. The graduate recruitment team were always there in the background should a question be asked, and made sure the week ran smoothly!

I definitely ended the week with a much better understanding of Clifford Chance: including all their practice areas and what it would be like to be a trainee at the firm. This included all the harsh-realities of being a commercial lawyer at a Magic Circle firm, but being told the reality rather than being spun lies really spoke for the firm's genuine and friendly culture.

The scheme was structured extremely well, from the schedule we were given in advance to updates throughout the day. Our trip to Paris was extremely successful, despite the difficulties that arose with passports, and I was very satisfied throughout with the organisation of the week!

The general atmosphere was friendly and exciting. All the CC employees were really interested to speak to you, and all the other Springboarders were really nice. By the end of the week, it was sad that we had to leave each other!

Each day there was a buffet lunch on Level 30 dedicated to networking with Trainees and Associates from a different practice area. In addition, I sat in a department on the final day and networked within very well.

They were extremely useful - I met over 15 different people who gave me their business card to get coffee. It was testament to the people at CC who really were extraordinary.

Yes, very much so through networking with all the other Trainees during the networking lunches and breakfasts! We were also shown around the offices to see the fitness centre, pool and other amenities, including CC's very own in-house bar!

Definitely! It was a really exciting week and I came out very much hopeful to gain a TC with CC.
