The Role
Really loved my placement - very sad to be leaving!
Felt like I added to the team and was a valued assistant. This did sometimes mean that I did the boring jobs that no one else wanted to do. The team was very friendly and I enjoyed working with them.
The support was there as I had a People Manager to support my progress. They helped me set targets and made sure I had explored everything I wanted to whilst in the position.
I have a very varied workload. Some weeks I was out at multiple events and had a lot of work on, there were other periods of time where I had very little to do. This was the biggest issue with my placement however I never had no work for more than a day or so as I asked for work.
I was given an appropriate level of responsibility for an assistant in the team. I could have taken on more responsibility but there was no tasks that were available and appropriate.
Not hugely as I study physics and was completing a human resources placement. I have however hugely developed my presentation and communication skills which are useful no matter the degree as well as my task management.
The Company
Overall it is loud! Very friendly team that I sit with who are always having a chat. Lots of social things going on, we go for lunch as a team at least once a week and there are drinks in the evenings once a month. The team are also really helpful and happy to answer any questions you have.
The organisation has been ok, I have had some workload issues and these could have been addressed before I started.
I had to do mandatory training online and have picked up the other skills along the way.

There is not a graduate scheme in the same position I have done my placement so future employment prospects are not appealing for me in terms of the other graduate roles. I would be happy to rejoin in my current position however.
The Culture
Yes! There were 11 in my cohort and I met with a couple of them for lunch nearly every day.
Worked in london so high cost of living etc but this is standard.
Was in London so nightlife was good but not in the specific area I was in so much.
Yes, could have joined the PwC sports teams and was in London so lots going on in the city.
