    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my work at Pfizer. Paticularly visiting University career's fairs and organising the assessment centres.

  • You are treated equally by members of your team and given real responsibility.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The office at Pfizer is open plan and the no jerks culture mean you can easily seek help from your colleagues. Everyone is also really friendly and encourages you to speak up if you are unsure.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The workload varied, but, there is ample opportunity to gain work from your team. Moreover there are lots of training modules such as Yellow belt training which you can do aswell.

  • I was given lots of smaller tasks and a few larger projects which i had fuull ownership of.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have gained invaluable insight into recruitment and my team have really aided my development.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone at pfizer is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. There is an 'Ownit' Culture which makes the office a great place to work.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • When i joined I was given a large handover document which outlined exactly my tasks and responsibility and when they would be completed.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Very highly. I was allowed to attend multiple training sessions during my placement year, whilst my team also took time out of their busy schedules to sit with me on a 1-1 basis.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • There is a graduate scheme at Pfizer and also the oppportunity to return in entry level jobs.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Lots of us lived in Epsom and we set up a facebook group to discusss parties, events andrips to london.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Going to univertsity in Newcastle the cost of living is slightly higher in Surrey. However the salaray paid to undergraduates is ample to live on. I even managed to save during my time at Pfizer.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Surrey is situated just outside of london. So its a great location if you want to head into the city for a nightout.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There are lots of sports activities and social events outside of work. You can also take up to 5 days paid volunteering leave.
