    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my internship. I worked on several interesting projects and learned a lot.

  • There were plenty of social events and everyone was very friendly. People seemed to appreciate and value my contributions.

  • There was a good amount of training provided and someone was always on hand to answer any questions.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was kept busy enough to keep me interested but never given so much work that I had stay late on a regular basis to finish it.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I worked on several projects and made a useful contribution to both of them. I was told what to do by my manager but was allowed to make my own decisions about how to approach the problems

  • There was plenty of time to pick up new skills and I was given helpful feedback throughout.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There were plenty of social events after work and there is lots to do in the office during breaks etc. Everyone is very friendly and there is a relaxed atmosphere.

  • There were plenty of training sessions and social activities and I had weekly meetings with my manager to ensure everything was going well.

  • I spent a lot of time learning about new technologies and was given detailed feedback on all of my work.

  • I've been offered a full time job when I finish university and would definitely like to come back!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene was more focused around the company as a whole, rather than having events just for interns. Having said that, all the interns got on well and were friendly.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cheaper than central London but not by much. There were a lot of subsidised events & trips to the pub though

  • Plenty of pubs and restaurants.

  • There were several social events on every week including pub trips, games nights and sports
