    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a real eye opener into Third Sector working. I having the opportunity to fundraise at the same time was also amazing.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Honestly within about 4 weeks it was as though I was one of the permanent team. My input was sought at team meetings, and more importantly listened to as well.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • As it was a new field I was constantly asking advice and seeking guidance anyway. But there was always a willing face to help show me the right direction

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was really busy during the placement, but not overly so. There were times when I was working late but that was more my drive to fininsh my project than any influence by my manager

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was looking after a really business critical project with another permanent member of staff. They were the project lead but I was fully complicit in all details and activites we undertook.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Amazingly so, I have been so fortunate to find such a great team to work with. They have really set me up for a great future.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Really good, everyone is really chatty and friendly

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Its an established scheme with a set first week, feels quite organised.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Lots of internal opportunities for training plus they hold straining sessions just for interns designed to help you after the 12 weeks

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Good if you're in the right place at the right time, I got a 1 year contract following the placement witihn the team

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Definitely highly encouraged to go out as a group, plus it helps we were mostly social types wanting to create a little socialising group

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's North London so not great but better than the city

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Ok quite a few bars etc but as it's so close to Covent Garden, Soho you much better off getting a bus down there

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • loads, we were given lots of volunteering opportunities, without pressure to comply. There ware lots of group socials as well
