  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My placement at camp was amazing! It really suited my skillset and was perfect for me.

  • I felt really valued by my colleagues as we created a great team spirit from day one and everyone helped each other out to make it a great environment to work in.

  • My direct supervisors were very encouraging and supportive.

  • Very busy!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Quite a lot. I was responsible for 12 campers and looked after their daily needs. You create a great bond with your campers.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learned some fantastic skills, like team working, listening, activity leadership and management skills.

  • It was a very fun and lively place to work!

  • Fantastic. My visa sponsorship company Wild packs helped me so much in getting my visa and in supporting me from the moment I applied.

  • I was given the opportunity to learn a lot of different skills and put through lifeguard training as well.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We enjoyed travelling around the local area on days off together.

  • Pretty similar to the UK

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • We had some bars nearby which were great but there wasn't a lot around.

  • On days off a trip to the mall, theme park or into New York was always arranged.
