The Role
Yep. Absolutely. In this placement I've not only learned a lot about my degree- ship science- but also interpersonal skills, different cultures, get used to different English accent.....
Engineering Standards Team are very friendly and humorous. We are teasing each other and feel comfortable everyday. They're teaching me and help me a lot along my project. Some gave me a feeling like brother or uncle.
A lot of supports from James Collett. I would say he's the best supervisor that I've ever expected.
There are a lot of thing to work and to learn. If my work is delayed for some reasons, I could definitely find something to learn, so never feel bored or too much busy.
Always feel respectful by other colleagues, marine superintendent, captain and crew. They considered me as a graduate who really know what I am doing .
Brilliant.
The Company
Like I said, always fun.
It's a bit difficult for me when I started with 3 projects and then one was extended and one more is given. Although it's good for me to make use of my time here, the change in objectives caused me some difficulties
Yep. They sent me to a ship in Rotterdam just for my experience. I can go to the training course provided by Lloyd's Register for 2 days just for my learning as well. I can also book an appointment with any people that I need to learn something about. They've never refused to teach me even those knowledge are probably not relevant to my project.

BP is a big company and I really want to work for them. At the moment, there is some particular problems but I'll definitely look forwards to working for them .
The Culture
Very good social network between BP interns
It's definitely more expensive than where I live - Southampton. But it's reasonable price compare to the price of London.
I don't like Nightlife so I have no comment.
Yes, Lunch and learn, presentation training course..
