  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • As I rotated through the teams, I received plenty of support, feedback and guidance from my supervisor. I also had a buddy and mentor who I could speak to if I had any concerns. I could also turn to colleagues within my team if I had any questions in absence of my supervisor.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • During my time at Rothschild, the summer interns took part in the Rothschild & Co Bursary Fundraising challenge. This experience was quite enjoyable as my group raised money through various charity event including a 10k run. The fundraising challenge pushed me on a personal level and gave me the opportunity to develop my fundraising skills while having fun with my group. It was extremely satisfying to raise money for a worthy cause and it definitely helped that my group won! I was also invited to various talks an drinks events with senior women in the bank as well as the new graduate cohort. This provided me with the opportunity to develop my network. I was also able to sit in on some of the graduate personal development sessions. This included sessions on personal branding and building resilience.
