    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed parts of it, however some taks I was given were not that stimulating

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I have always been thanked for the work I do. My team are very busy team so I know any support that they are given is appreciated.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There was a strong support network provided by my mentor and I was always made to feel I could ask for help and guidance. I felt that I could have been offered more support on the bigger projects that I was working on.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were very few days where I would say that I was 'busy'. Most days I could occupy myself for most of the day however there were quite a few times where I had nothing really to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a big project to own which I think involved a lot of repsonsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I wouldn't say I gained any skills but I certainly gained new experiences and learnt about myself. The experience here will help me with my Masters degree.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • People are concentrated on what they are doing. I wouldn't say it was a great atmosphere but an acceptable atmosphere to work in.

  • It was very organised with clear processes put in place.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was able to shadow workshops and key meeitngs which helped me gain a good perspective of the area I want to work in.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I think it would be a great place to work in the future.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were weekly gatherings organised by the interns

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's quite expensive living in London so I had to really budget to do this unpaid internship. I couldn't really afford to socialise too much.

  • Very vibrant and trendy area.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes there was always a need for volunteers for different charity events
