The Role
It was enjoyable - I worked with nice people and enjoyed the tasks given to me, although I didn't find them particularly stimulating.
I felt valued by my colleagues, got on well with them and definitely felt part of the team.
My Mentor was fantastic - giving me loads of help and guidance all the way through and never minding when I asked lots of questions!
It varied - often very busy in the morning but then tended to be very quiet in the afternoon. There were several days in the middle of my placement when I was very bored because I had nothing to do.
I was given responsibility for my own tasks but didn't feel like my tasks were particularly important.
It will definitely help me in the future - in fact I have secured a new job out of someone I met on the Internship!
The Company
Quiet but friendly - everyone worked hard but stopped to have a chat every now and again.
I felt it was well organised overall but my individual workload could have been structured better.
This was very good - we had an Interview Training & CV Skills day mid-placement which was incredibly beneficial.
There are not many prospects that arise unless you apply for the Grad Scheme.
The Culture
Good intern social scene with lots of events organised, although these were organised by the interns themselevs rather than the company.
Very expensive area to work in but that's probably the same everywhere in Central London.
Nightlife good in Shoreditch although nothing immediately close to the office!
There weren't many opportunitites, I don't think a lot went on.
