About You
I thought the insight was a wonderful experience as we were able to see how citi works, and get to know people that work there. We were given the opportunity to see first hand the work environment.
I felt extremely valued through out the whole week as we were constantly given the opportunity to ask questions, network and be treated as equals. The fact there was an AC at the end of the week was very motivating.
As much as each of us wanted. We were constantly given cards and reminded that we could reach out to anyone inside the bank for questions of any type. I think I was specially lucky with the group of girls I was with, as we all asked many questions which made us receive a lot of guidance.
The information I received had nothing to do with what I have learnt in my degree, something I find extremely useful.
The Company
The insight was really good structured as we were able to see the different areas of the bank in just one week, this being extremely useful.
The atmosphere was great, all the girls got along very well and I am confident we will keep in touch and see each other in a future.
The company invested a lot in us, like for example in all the girls that came from outside the UK. I think this demonstrates how much Citi worries about who they employ and how they look for the best people in the world.
Being able to spend time with the employees and doing workshadowing, I am positive that all of us at the end of the week got a very good view of what it would be like working in Citi.
I think this is by far what I most liked of the spring week, being able to learn first hand the culture of the bank and see how everyone works and what type of people are hired.
Extremely valuable as we were explained all the areas of the bank, so we were not choosing whithout knowing.
Everything Else
I was not reimbursed expenses as there was a deadline to submit the receipt and I did not do it on time.
Yes, we had a lot of events for networking. There was one I liked a lot in particular, which consisted in Pizza Night with the juniors as it was very informal and easy to talk to everyone.
All the opportunities where different and great at the same time, learning every day how to act in these types of situations and meeting different people around the bank.
Yes, there was a lot of time focused on the benefits Citi has and how they worry about the lifestyle and happiness of their employees.
I would recommend, and in fact already have, this insight to everyone. I think it's a unique opportunity.
