    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Challenging in early stages but enjoyable once you're used to the role.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The people here are first class always willing to help and chat to you both about work and anything else.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Obviously a subjective thing but my manager was new to the role and didn't support me as much as i would have expected. The rest of the team more than made up for this.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Financial markets work in highs and lows so some days you can be rushed off your feet while others are calm- it all balances out though

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • treated like a full time employee after about 3-4 weeks!

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The people networking and learning about the industry first hand is excellent. Although i couldnt see myself doing the role i had on a full time basis there is definitely something at the company for everybody - its a case of finding that.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Could have been more fun but certainly not dull- entirely depends on the team.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Plenty to do in the way of courses and social events. The team i was part of could have had a much more organised training progamme for when i arrived.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • HR work very hard to set up anything they can arrange. Being a placement it is hard to fit everything in.

    4/5

  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events
