The Role
Had a really good time, met some really nice poeple. Learnt lots abouth both the firm and the department i was in.
Evereyone appreciated the fact that i was new, and this was a completely new environment for me. They treated me like a full time employee.
My buddy and manager were amazing. They put so much time and effort into teaching me. And even set up time in their busy schedules for weekly catch ups
Some days there was a heavy workload, but other days i had less busy days, which was a niec balance. But on average my work load was perfect, but if i did want to have some extra work i asked my colleagues.
I had a fair bit of responsibility in creating the EU ALCO deck. I was also responsible for the Finance X Factor presentation.
I have not only learnt about Treasury at MS bt i have picked up a lot of social skills, for example talking to senior managers, working as a team and balancing work and prioritising.
The Company
The office upstairs is quite quiet, as often people are on other floors or in the other building. But when everyone is together it's a really fun office.
As this was the first time hte internship/I{ programme was run in Treasury, i thought the team did an amazing job to make it as seamless as possible.
The company provided me with my own computer, desk, software packages, headphones so that i'd feel like a permanent member of staff.
Subsidised/Company Gym
I have just been offered a full time job!!!
The Culture
There were social events for the other interns and industrial placements, which was good as we got a chance to bond with poeple goign through the same journey.
I lived at home, so don't know about rent. but for food/drink it was very expensive.
I didn't go out during my internship (sad i know)
There were a lot of extra cirricular activities, e.g. Finance X Factor and a softball tournament.
