The Role
Overall the working environment was very conducive to learning. I enjoyed the internship especially because of the people that make this firm.
I was given responsibility for various aspects of a project and I felt valued by my colleagues in this respect. Also, in terms of projects that relate to my previous industry, the colleauges solicited my experience in the past, which in turn made me feel valued.
The people that I worked with gave me good guidance on how to proceed with the projects. They also personally ensured that I was learning in the process.
I was very busy during the entire internship. Considering that as an intern you don't always know the systems within the company, I would spend additional time understanding these systems.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility. Some of my ideas were also integrated in final presentations which were sent to the client.
There has been a good amount of learning throughout the internship. These skills will help me a long way in my career ahead. Also, in terms of my MBA course, this internship helped me apply the theoritical knowledge learnt in school.
The Company
Fantastic! I reiterate, the people in this firm are really great!
Overall, it was a well organised internship. The "learning" events were also very well organised.
I think this has been the best training I have received in a long time. The best part is that the class size was not too big and this made the learning even more worthwile. The firm has invested a lot of time and money in my training and development.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
The future prospects are good considering that the firm has made a commitment to hire associates this year.
The Culture
Very good social scene. Every person in the pool is very approachable and many a times, these are the people who help you when you need it most.
Cost of living: I share an apartment so the costs are divided in two. I would advise 1500-2000 pounds/month including rent, socialising and travel.
I was mostly in office, so can't comment on this.
I didn't have time for this so I don't have any comments.
