The Role
Fantastic experience and have had a great time, but not absolutely perfect.
Very friendly environment but huge company so difficult to know everyone. Everyone very approachable though.
Always there when I needed help, never too busy.
Sometimes had very little to do, but this built up very quickly.
Responsible for my own projects but no wider responsibility.
Fanatastic financial training programme at the beginning, and throughout have been taught and shown things which will help me in my studies and in any other job I do.
The Company
Sometimes quiet, but fun sometimes as well. Good balance.
Initially felt that the first week (for all the interns together in all divisions) was too Sales and Trading orientated - but thereafter was very well organised as it was more specific to my role.
People gave a lot of time and effort into making sure we were getting the most out of our experience, particularly those in HR. Also, very well compensated.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Can't comment now as don't know yet, but would love to come back.
The Culture
Not as much as I'd like, although I think they made an extra effort to push more social events than usual while we were here.
Expensive area.
Good, but not the best area for going out. Very corporate.
None that I know of, but I'm sure there are - I just didn't try very hard in finding out!
