  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I found it very interesting and a good atmosphere to work in.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • A lot of work which I did saved other colleagues time and went out to clients or became parts of final reports and I think that this was helpful.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My buddy has been extremely helpful and answers any questions which I have. My supervisor has also been friendly, helpful and approachable.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days I would only have a few tasks to do but could keep busy with my summer intern project. Most days, however, I have had a good amount of work to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot of work which I did went out to clients or became parts of final reports and while it was checked by my superiors it is still quite a responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Excellent chance to get an insight into my chosen profession and vital skills leaned on the job.

  • Very friendly and quite relaxed whilst still being professional.

  • Everything was clearly explained to me and i knew what and when I was to do things.

  • I have been taught a lot, not only about Mercer, but about pensions in general and in this way I feel like they have really been interested in my personal development.

  • I can definitely see myself working here in the future.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I was the only intern in my office but my colleagues and I went out for lunch several times.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Centre of Glasgow has great nightlife and easy to get to the west end etc

  • Not much other than lunches and drinks.
