The Role
Overall in was a good experience in gaining corporate experience within a professional property services firm that has an international reach.
Throughout the 8 weeks most colleagues had the time to help and discuss the projects you were working on and made you to feel part of the team.
Constant access to senior directors and line managers meant if needed I was able to obtain support and guidance at any time.
Generally you are constantly working on projects and with catch up meetings with line managers meant they knew how close you were to finishing a project and therefore more work was lined up for you.
Fair level of responsibility was given. The information we were dealing was very sensitive therefore there was a certain level of responsibility.
Skills learnt over the course of the internship overall would not help my degree. However it gives you a good idea of corporate interaction internally and also between clients and other professional companies.
The Company
Overall quite a quiet working environment.
Very good. We had good exposure to senior figures in the firm, whilst working on particular projects. In addition weekly talks had been arranged for senior heads of business to come in a talk to us about their particular part of the business.
To a certain extent their was a level of development which meant we were able to learn about the various aspects of property management and finance within it.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Certainly somewhere I would consider working for after my final year, if I get an offer.
The Culture
Had regular drinks and lunchs with other interns from different business areas of the firm.
Central London. £4 a pint.
Central London. Anything and everything is here. Though expensive.
There were sports and social activities available to all.
