We are committed to providing an engaging, rewarding work experience that reflects the passion our employees bring to our mission of saving and sustaining lives. Our company fosters a diverse and inclusive culture where our employees are encouraged to learn, grow and innovate, while making a meaningful difference for millions of people around the world. We are proud of our longstanding dedication to corporate responsibility and are committed to doing business the right way, ensuring that we champion our employees, our communities, our customers and patients and our environment in everything we do.
For more than 50 years Baxter has had a presence and long standing commitment in the UK. We are one of the largest suppliers to the NHS with over 7,500 products and services. We work closely with healthcare organisations to empower patients to self-care and manage their care closer to home.
Our Undergraduate Programme allows students who have completed their second year to gain hands-on experience and development in Marketing, within a specific area of the business. Roles are available in four areas of the business: Advanced Surgery, Clinical Nutrition, Renal Care, and Medication Delivery & Pharmaceuticals. Through our 12-month programme, students gain practical work experience which relates to their studies and career goals. This programme allows the opportunity not only to assume responsibility and to make valuable contributions, but also to learn from, work and network with Baxter professionals from a variety of areas across the organisation.
At Baxter, we invest in the growth and development of our employees and offer comprehensive programmes that develop leaders driving patient-centred innovation. Our approach to career growth is based on the company’s development philosophy, which emphasises that professional evolution occurs through a combination of work experiences, relationships and training, and is a shared responsibility between employees and their managers.
Baxter believes a diverse and inclusive workplace can drive innovation, create trusted partnerships and contribute to the success and sustainability of the business. This thinking forms the foundation of Baxter's global inclusion strategy, a commitment to recruit and retain a diverse workforce, and be inclusive in our interactions with all our stakeholders.
Baxter is proud to host many Business Resource Groups (BRGs) across the organisation, which support our Top Quartile Goal to advance Inclusion & Diversity in the workplace.
Our BRGs are employee-run affinity groups that support the recruitment, retention, engagement and development of diverse employees across Baxter, and provide a forum for employees to enhance personal growth and multicultural understanding.
In the UK, we have and Inclusion & Diversity Council which oversees all I&D initiatives happening across the organisation. Additionally, we have two BRGs: The Baxter Women Leaders (BWL) and The Early Career Professionals (ECP) groups. The former is dedicated to projects around the support of women in the workplace and advancement of women into leadership role, and the latter lead projects around developing young careers professionals and making Baxter an attractive place for them to advance their careers.
