We work in finance. But to all intents and purposes, we’re a tech company. A tech company that does credit cards.
We look at finance the way tech companies look at everything – it’s all about finding creative ways to make people’s lives easier. So that’s exactly what we’re doing.
We’re humanising finance by making it simpler, more creative and more human.
We got this recognition by practising what we preach. We make work life informal, flexible and simple, so our people can get creative. (Although the high starting salaries and other perks are probably factors too.)
And with all our opportunities, we’ll train you while you work – you’ll have a buddy, a programme mentor, and you’ll even get to meet the CEO. 10% of your time is put aside for professional development, so if you’ve got an interest we’ll find a way to support it.
If we choose you to be one of our graduates, we trust you enough to throw you straight into the action. So you’ll be training and working at the same time on one of the following programmes:
For most of our graduate roles, you’ll spend the first two years rotating around different teams – learning about each area by getting stuck in. Our graduate salaries start at £32,000 (with plenty of perks), and all our graduates also get an extra £5,000 as a starting bonus.
If you’re in your penultimate year at uni, an internship could help you jump the queue onto one of our graduate programmes. This year, three of our graduate streams or programmes have internship spots:
It’ll be ten weeks of hands-on work for real projects that are changing banking for good. All our interns get an £18,000 pro-rata salary (what you’d get if you worked the full year), with a £1,000 signing bonus.
And there’s plenty more to read about us at capitalonecareers.co.uk/early-careers – which is also where you can get the ball rolling with your application.
