Placement (10 Months+)

Describe your role and what it entails.

In my role I am focusing on managing relationships with customers of Adobe products, keeping customers feeling happy and supported, and allowing them to get the most out of their Adobe experience. We then look to identify renewal and upsell opportunities within their contracts.

What have been your highlights?

For me, the welcoming and supportive atmosphere within the Adobe community has been the main highlight. In addition to this, the intern group has a great relationship, making my intern year fun both inside and outside of the office.

What have been your challenges?

For my role, I had to learn a lot about the product which was quite challenging to begin with as it required a lot of focus and hard work, however, the support from my team helped massively.

Also, I wasn’t a very organised person prior to starting at Adobe. This meant I had to figure out a method that worked for me in organisation.

What have you learnt from your experience in the role?

One of the main things I know I will take away from my role at Adobe, and that will follow me throughout my career, is a key set of soft skills in customer management and sales. I have also learnt the importance of networking and putting yourself in front of people in the corporate world, even when it feels slightly uncomfortable at first.

What advice would you give to a student following in your footsteps?

When going through the application process, make sure to be 100% yourself. Adobe values authenticity and you’ll find that when you are genuine within the interview process, people will be able to place you in a role that will help you excel significantly in your placement year.
