Did you know that RateMyPlacement.co.uk is home to over 70,000 student-written reviews of placements, internships and insights?
We love the fact that students who visit our website can find exclusive information about an employer or scheme that they won’t find anywhere else.
Peer-to-peer feedback is SO important when it comes to deciding who you want to work for. (Which is why we also use it to build our Best 100 Employers table each year.)
For as long as we can remember, we’ve given every student who leaves a review a £5 Amazon gift card. This year, we’re shaking things up. Read on to find out more…
The review process
With thousands of reviews for you to delve into across a vast range of industries, roles and employers, you’re guaranteed to find lots of useful insights.
(And like Alan Titchmarsh’s How to Garden, they make for wonderful bedtime reading). To be eligible for the £5 voucher, students have to answer at least 7 questions with 75+ words, as per our T&C’s. The following areas are rated out of five:
- Skills learnt
- Career development
- Responsibilities
- Culture
- Support & guidance
- Your impressions
The idea is that every review offers a well-rounded insight into the student’s experience, giving other students a heads up on what it’s really like to work for that employer.
Time for a change
Whilst over 70,000 reviews means a whole lot of knowledge about students’ experiences, it also means a whole lot of Amazon vouchers given away!
And whilst we’re not getting rid of this feature, from now on you will also have the option to donate £5 to charity instead when leaving a review on RateMyPlacement.co.uk.
