    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I found it very enjoyable, mostly due to the people i worked with. everybody was really friendly and made me feel able to ask questions (even ones i thought might sound silly).

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued, as the project i was given as my main task was central to a change in process for the team. this meant our work often overlapped and as such i felt very much included, as i was!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • my manager and buddy were very helpful, and held regular 1-2-1 meetings with me to check my progress and how i was feeling i was doing. whenever i wanted to experience an aspect outside of the team my line manager was very supportive and arranged for me to do so where possible

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • there were days when i could have been a lot busier, and felt a little useless. However, in contrast, there were other days when i felt i had not enough time to finish what i wanted to.

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • i was given a fair amount of responsibilty, i was allowed to handle sensitive data etc

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • the computer skills i acquired will be invaluable throughout my degree and career.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • friendly and relaxed. very little 'office politics'.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • the CSR project was poorly managed. in a team of 8, because i was Project Manager, i ended up doing the project pretty much single-handedly. noone checked on the team progress so i had no power to make my team help out.

    1/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • they definitely invest time in you, 1-2-1s are regular and people more than happy to take time out to talk you through their roles and business areas.

  • Subsidised/Company Gym

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop
