The Role
I really enjoyed my placement, I had two clients both based outside of London. My first placement was for 2 months near Reading and my next was for 6 months in Newcastle and Glasgow. My work was interesting and diverse and I had friendly, supportive and fun teams throughout my placement.
The quality of my work and the high standard of my performance on my second project was recognised by my colleagues and as a result I was recommended for a new team to work on client site for my last 3 months.
Both of my projects were to very tight deadlines and I was given a lot of responsibility very quickly, as a result the workload was large but manageable.
I was given a lot of responsibility of work and was given many opportunities to work alongside senior management.
My Excel knowledge, presentation skills, teamwork and time management have all been improved due to my time at Accenture; all of which will be beneficial for my studies at University. Further, having a long period of work experience on my CV where I have learnt skills like these, from a highly respected company, will be valuable for future job applications. The Company
The placement was well organised with friendly and helpful coordinators. Our first week consisted of skills to prepare us for our projects, such as a crash course in Excel and a mock project. Throughout the internship social occasions were organised and we were made aware of any extra opportunities or deadlines that were relevant to us.

Working from home
During my exit interview I was offered the Summer Vacation Scheme for my penultimate year of university which if I complete to a high standard will lead to a place on their 2 year graduate scheme.
The Culture
Aside from company organised events, I became good friends with other placement students and we arranged to meet almost every weekend.
There are a wide range of activities outside of work, for example I was part of the bouldering and rock climbing group in Reading during my first 2 months. Others joined the hockey and netball teams competing with other companies.
