The Role
I enjoyed the amount of varied work I was able to get actively involved in and how much I could learn and experience in several different departements.
I felt valued as a contributer to overall progression of work.
Any time I needed support or had any questions with the work I was completing, it was always avaliable.
Due to being in several departments, each time a new department was started there was a learning curve before valuable work could be completed.
I was given as much responsibility as I wanted. Several jobs were carried out with almost no supervison once I showed that I was capable.
It gave me an insight into what areas I want to work in in the future and what skills I need to improve to progress professionally. Subject matter learnt at University was also given real applications which will help with future learning
The Company
The offices were friendly and most people were open to discuss current affairs and few jokes in between work.
I was set up well in that I had a large say into which areas of the company I wished to work in. You can even ask around to see what other areas you can get into that usually arent that open.
They ran a few courses over the year to help with personal development such as presentation skills and understanding over how different people work. If there was a reason or need to be involved in any other courses you could get them.

Further applications need to be made for future employment. Although there is a better chance of employment once the initial stages are passed.
The Culture
There is a large number of graduates and undergraduates each year starting and there are 2 social groups that organise social activities monthly to keep you active. You can easily have a great social life with them.
It was reasonably cheap. I was able to live in a nicer house than I could at University for a lower price. Although student priced drinks were missed! Genarally with the wage you earn you can afford to do a lot each month.
There is a few places to go out for drinks or a meal although it is quite limited and if you go out every weekend you may get bored of the same places. If you have transport though it's easy to get into larger towns situated around Yeovil for a night out.
There were 2 social groups that both ran monthly evens like meals and bowling as well as night out. so even if you didn't know that many people you can mix and meet people easily through these events. I found I never had a dull week outside work.
