The Role
The projects are really interesting and you won't find work like it anywhere else. I ocassionally got the odd boring task to do but thats to be expected with any job and as a whole I really enjoyed my time there.
The team I was in had 3 students and 3 others from other teams doing work for us. One project in particular really relies on students and that was acknowledged.
My line manager was incredibly supportive and would always help whenever I had problems. She made it a very enjoyable and relaxed work enviroment.
A majority of the time I had a suitably busy. I had a couple of periods of time where I didn't have much work to do but once I'd mentioned this to my line manager it quickly got better again.
Some projects I did pretty much by myself others were a joint effort between myself and other students/colleagues.
Looking through the modules for my first year (I'm on a pre-uni placement) I've covered most of them during my time here. I've also picked up a lot of transferable skills.
The Company
Very relaxed and friendly. I'm in an office of only 4 people but we always have the radio on a people popping in so its never too quiet.
I ocassionally began running out of work to do but other than that it was very well organised.
I did have some training, but as I have not taken the sponsorship I, understandably, did not get as much training as the other students.

I did not apply for sponsorship due to the closing down of the site I currently work on but, I feel if I ever wanted to come back I would be welcome.
The Culture
I socialised with some of the other students and we ate lunch together most days.
I lived at home and commuted for the year so cost of living was not an issue. I worked at Fort Halstead (just outside of London) so its fairly expensive.
Lots of nice pubs and London is short train journey away
I didn't take many of them but there are oppurtunities for nigths out/activities.
