The Role
PLEASE NOTE: This review was for a placement at General Motors prior to the amalgamation of Vauxhall and General Motors (The RateMyPlacement Team) Brilliant learning experience but not necessarily related to my course

Had weekly meetings with management and they were approchable when I had questions
Was given year long project but could have been given more daily tasks. Some weeks were extremly busy whereas some were very quiet
Allowed to take own intiative on project, run own trials, implement changes in process etc
Given numerous amounts of training including very helpful problem solving tools
The Company
People generaly friendly and approachable, relaxed atmosphere
First time our department had had any undergrads but overall ok
Was given opportunitiy to go on numerous trianing courses, travel to other plants, abroad
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel

The Culture
Over 60 students on placement, people going out pretty much every week. Organised social events for handover etc
Rent very expensive living in London commuting zone
Not so good in Luton, Milton Keynes, Watford and St Albans nearby, London if you wanted to
