The Role
Enjoyed it a lot - first few days/weeks was difficult to adjust but after that you get the idea of things and start enjoying the people and project.
Quite valued but you have to realise sometimes colleagues are all busy and haven't got all the time in the world for you but when they do spend time with you they are very helpful.
Line manager helped me a lot - starting from the basics.
Fluctuates quite a lot but most days I would have an idea or schedule of what to do.
Very high - responsibly for putting together very important documents.
The skills I gained here can help me in pretty much any industry and my degree and socal life in future.
The Company
Was good - occasial chit chat but the project was very intense so the majority of the time was spent on working hard (which can be both a good or a bad thing).
Training week had lots of activities and fun. And my line manager organise my 7 weeks of actual work really well.
A lot - aside from my salary all my expenses at the client site (which is away from London) were paid for by the company/client (so hotel, food, travel).
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
Travel loan
Very appealing - the skills you gain this summer would equip you for a successful career. However, the projects that you work on is really the key indicator of your future prospects.
The Culture
At the training week - yes, but afterwards I was the only intern in my project so did not really have a chance to meet the other interns much.
Cost was very low as all my expenses were paid for due to being away in the client site.
It was in Swindon. Though the employees did organise nights out and dinners.
Football on weekly basis, and there are sports clubs too.
