About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the vacation scheme as it gave me a perfect opportunity to see if Pinsent Masons is the right law firm for me.
Everyone in the office was very friendly and approachable. If I had any concerns there would always be someone there to listen and help out.
My trainee buddy and my supervisor were extremely helpful during the vacation scheme as I could ask them any questions linked to the work or the firm in general. It was useful being able to discuss goals and objectives with my supervisor and receive feedback from the work that I had already completed.
I have been able to develop my attention to detail and accuracy skills. I believe that I will also significantly benefit from learning how to draft appropriate correspondence to clients.
The Company
The vacation scheme was structured very well. I enjoyed being able to attend presentations from other practice areas every morning. Furthermore, we all thoroughly benefitted from the regular social events both at lunchtime and in the evening.
The atmosphere at Pinsent Masons is extremely friendly and welcoming. Both the department that I sat in and graduate recruitment were eager to answer any questions or concerns that we had.
In my opinion the firm provided excellent training to everyone on the vacation scheme in their relevant department.
Having finished the vacation scheme, I believe that I have a much better appreciation of the calibre of work and the culture of the Pinsent Masons Birmingham office.
Sitting in an open plan office was a perfect opportunity to interact with fellow colleagues and appreciate the culture of Pinsent Masons.
The presentations that we received from each practice department were very useful as they helped influence my decision about which area of law I would eventually like to practice.
Everything Else
The vacation placement was very generously paid.
I was fortunate to be able to attend an important annual client event with the rest of the Birmingham property team.
The regular social events were extremely useful and enjoyable. They served as the perfect way to interact with the other vacation scheme students.
The trainees were able to inform us about the sport and corporate business opportunities available at Pinsent Masons.
I would recommend this vacation scheme to anyone who wants to learn more about the company and a career in commercial law.
