    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • some really nice people in the company, some idiots. In terms of actual tasks, you hav to be pretty motivated to want to clean cars

    2/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • the salary is £16,000 before tax [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. Lord knows how people who get taxed live on that money. Your fellow colleagues are generally nice people

    1/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]Had one decent assistant manager and one decent branch manager during my time

    2/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • you start at 7:45am not 8am, and you will not finish at 6pm. Don't expect to have a life outside of work whatsoever as you are expected to bleed green

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I got to run the fleet occasionally which was good. Other than that you are responsible for making sure the car you rent is properly cleaned.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The management folder I've been given will *look* brilliant to your uni and future employer. In terms of actual skills learnt, I'm not sure [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] will really benefit me in many future careers

    2/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The banter in our office was great, 80% of the people in the office were brilliant. There are a few power-mad idiots but nothing major

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • you are lumped in with every other new recruit graduate or not, so you dont really feel like you're on a placement, which I suppose is good

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 5 x training days over 12 months 1 x training folder with various stages, vouchers etc

    2/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare from home

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Not a chance, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] promotions are done on who is pally with the area/city managers and who is well known

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I was the only placement student in my office, there was about 10-20 in the west midlands group and we got to know each other a bit at training days

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • £2.40 a pint £1 for a loaf of bread average uk prices

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Cheltenham is a decent night out, it is a slower pace than any major city and only has about 4-5 clubs.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I wouldn't know, was stuck doing overtime (which you dont get paid for until you do over 200 hours total in a month).

    3/5
