  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • There is a great variety of areas to get experience and develop into. No days are the same!

  • As a collegue within the company I was given the same amount of respect, support and responsibilities by all staff.

  • Weekly meeting with a mentor allowed me to develop quickly and experience areas best suited to my interests and desires.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • All days are different and the amount/type of work always changes - It keeps it exciting and is a great challenge for the whole team.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Being part of Rebranding the company, introducing a new website and assisting the internal and external marcomms for the entire Mace group meant alot of responsibility was given in exciting challenges.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I can now take with me a developed understanding of all marketing and communications management. We are an inhouse team, so there is always new areas to learn things from. Im also 1005 more confident and sure about my future career.

  • We manage well a mixture of fun and hard work, it's a great atmosphere.

  • Training, learning and support was fantastic. The scheme allowed me to enter and experience many areas in depth.

  • Training schemes, team work shop days and close mentor scheme allowed me to develop my knowledge but also secure a position in the team.

  • Mace is a growing company and is a great company to spread ideas and progress into new areas. They really do know how to invest in people and know what makes it work well.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The placement scheme meant that i made friends with collegues and a few placement students.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is expensive but is a fantastic place for work.

  • Has some of the best clubs and venues in the UK

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were a few sports to get involved in and charity fund raising ideas. My team often met on social nights out.
