Overview
There were presentations given about the company and it's projects and objectives (e.g. net zero). There were also group activities which made the day interactive and fun. After lunch, we visited one of Mace's construction sites and learnt about the work that is involved, e.g. how they make the buildings fire safe.
Skills
I learnt more about construction practices that I didn't know before. I also learnt techniques that I could use in future job interviews.
Business Insight
We got information about all the different types of roles available at Mace and we got personal insights from graduate students on their placement.
Culture
The company atmosphere seemed very friendly and supportive.
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed this insight day as it was really interesting to learn about the company and the range of roles they have available. I was also glad they talked about their strategies for net zero.
Yes
I would suggest attending an insight day as I think it will help a lot when applying for placements.
