The Role
My placement year was a great opportunity for me to explore my interests in the automotive industry, and the type of work I will be happy to do in future.
I felt like part of the team since day one of my placement. My opinion and recommendations ware always taken under consideration. I great example is that I was able to was able to attend the recruiting process, when choosing the person who are going to replace me upon my leave, even though the company is so huge and this is not part of my job description.
There was a potential to get feedback on more regular bases.
It greatly depends on the current period of the year. I had moments when I was very busy, in the same time I had periods when I was able to leave earlier from work. Towards the end of my placement I got better at my job and it as taking me less time to finish my task, but in the same time I had the opportunity to volunteer and to help other teams, which helped me enhance my experience and knowledge.
I had a good exposure, by supporting senior people in my organization.
The skills I gained from my placement are transferrable and will be very helpful in the career I want to continue my career in.
The Company
Friendly, supportive and cooperative.
The onboarding was easy as I had materials provided by the previous undergrads.
There are a lot of available online trainings, however there not enough class-room based trainings.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Healthcare from home
There are great opportunities available in the organization, as this is a global company and people can move across departments and to different locations.
The Culture
Definitely! A lot of social events with other placement students; opportunity to live with your colleges.
Small town with low rents; Close to London, so I spent every weekend there.
Never went out in the area I live.
I was able to get involved in a lot of major sport events as part of the company team.
