  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I genuinely don't believe I could have chosen a more welcoming business to work for.

    • I felt part of the team from the beginning, everyone is encouraged to contribute their ideas and opinions.

    • One to one support is always available with regular performance reviews in the first few months.

    • Month and year end was always busy however between the team, it was managable.

    • I had more responsibility than I had expected and took on more in the final few months.

    • I feel I gained an invaluable insight into how businesses work and now better understand topics I learnt in university.

    • The office is a nice environment, people are generally easy going and want to enjoy their day.

    • I found the overall experience well organised. After the first few weeks of training on the job, I worked like a normal employee.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • If I wanted to do some shadowing or develop a skill, there was definitely the opportunity to do so. It is very much up to your personal interests and goals.

    • There is currently no graduate scheme although some placement students have come back into graduate level positions.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There are usually only three placement students at a time so it depends on who you are with.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Manchester is reasonably priced depending on where you live, OK for the salary.

    • Manchester has plenty of clubs and bars.

    • There were not many out of hours activities, I believe some people met to play football.
