The Role
My Work Placement has very enjoyable and have felt very welcome within my team.
My colleagues have made me feel very valued and given me important tasks and projects that are important to our department.
If i need support anyone from my team are willing to help or steer me in the right direction.
My days are mixed, it can be quite quiet at times or very busy it all depends what is happening in the plant.
I have been treated like one of the team so i have had quite a lot of responsibility.
My placement has helped me to follow data and not emotion and to question what you believe you already know.
The Company
My office is very open with lots of other departments located here. And my team are easy to talk to and get a hold of.
My placement was well organised with initial team bonding and actives with the fellow undergrads to help us bond and get to know each other.
I was put on a RED X statistical course that helps you to follow logical thinking /data and not emotion.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
I would definitely like to work here in the future. However i believe there is not much opportunity to be promoted within the departments.
The Culture
We have gone on lots of nights out and some days together as we all get on well with each other.
The cost of living is not too bad however it was difficult to find accommodation as the city has a university and we were looking around the same time as the students
There are loads of places to eat out and go out in Chester.
Work do not have anything set up so we arranged a 5 a side for ourselves.
