    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Throughly enjoyed my placement at Triumph Motorcycles.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • From the start you are made to feel valued by your colleagues. All of my projects have been useful for my team and have been interesting work.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Guidance and supervision is given to you throughout your placement. More help is given at the start as you learn the ropes but as your placement continues you will be required to structure your own time and ensure that you meet your deadlines.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I am very busy on a daily basis. You will be given many projects to balance simultaneously which keeps you busy and forces you to manage your time efficiently. At times you could have some free time but a quick ask around the team for any work will provide you with enough work to last the next month.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I have had good amounts of responsibility for non-qualified engineer. I have been given projects that will influence OE bikes and work that has had important deadlines to meet.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt vast amounts on this placement and have used lots of the work I have done in my degree in my work. I have also been able to see many aspects of my degree used in different areas of work.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It is a very friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable to ask questions to any of your colleagues.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • When you join your team leader will have some projects already set-up for you to start. During your placement you will be given enough work to keep you busy.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • At the start you are given enough training to allow you to do most work on your placement. During the year you will also have more courses available to you for further development.
